Psychotherapy
Psychology sessions allow for reflection and personal development. "What can improve your well-being and quality of life?" Following an initial assessment, any future sessions are tailored to individual needs. Our research shows that our clients experience improvement after an average of 5-6 sessions.

Half of the Norwegian population are affected by poor mental health during their lifetime. Up to 25% of those currently unemployed are unable to work due to mental illness. Fast access can improve prognosis. We are able to offer psychology sessions within a few days. You can make direct contact with us and do not require a doctor to refer you. Companies who have a business agreement with Bjørnson are guaranteed a session within five working days.

Conflict Management
Conflicts within the workplace do not only have financial implications. They cost in terms of energy, create dissatisfaction, can lead to staff taking sick leave, a higher staff turnover, recruitment difficulties and ultimately impaired reputation. As an employer you have a responsibility to deal with conflicts and initiate any necessary action. Good conflict management can ensure a quicker workplace recovery and return to profitable operations. Whilst conflicts often start out small they can end up involving many people. Colleagues can end up seeing only the worst in one another and may find themselves stuck in patterns where manipulation, divide-and-rule and backstabbing characterise the working day. Too much attention is paid to what others are doing wrong, leaving little time and energy to attend to their own contributions within the workplace.

It is important to address issues regarding conflict early and to be aware of the different strategy choices available to you. Bjørnson uses proven methods of conflict management, ones that do not create scapegoats, but focus on changing unhelthy interactions into healthy ones. We think of conflict as "communication that has come to a standstill ".

Stress Management
Negative stress at work costs large sums of money in terms of sick leave, decreased performance, burnout and poor management. Furthermore, prolonged high levels of stress are dangerous. A good manager can see, understand and act on the early signs and symptoms of negative tress, both for themselves and for those employees that they manage. The manager is a role model for all of their staff and has a big impact on stress levels in the company. A good model of prevention for stress within a company is for a manager to be conscious of both his own self-management and personal development.

Bjørnson offers a number of options in the managament of stress inclding lectures on stress and stress management, training modules from within our leadership development programme, and "Feel good - do well", an offer for managers and organisations that take their leadership role, stress and stress management seriously. All groups are headed by psychologist specialists with expertise in organisational psychology and clinical psychology. The groups are run both internally within the business and as an open program with 6 tp 8 sessions. The goal of this programme is to increase the understanding of our reactions to stress and stress management, and to further develop skills in sustainable management and a healthy management style.
